This year at BOIC I have been making a dog kennel in voc to donate them to animal rescue.

First, we had to get into groups and design what dog kennel we were making. Once we had our design we started sorting out the measurements. Once we where happy with our measurements we went out and started getting the bits of wood we needed then we started getting them cut. Once we got them all cut, my group and I started putting it together. When we were half way through the dog kennels we had some of the animal rescue people come in to talk to us about what they were going to do with our dog kennels and other things about animal rescue. When we were done, Jamie took some photos and posted them up on the schools Facebook page and then after that we donated them to animal rescue who gave them to dogs who needed them. This makes the dogs more adoptable when they come with the things they need.

What surprised me, I was surprised at how fast we built the chicken coop.

I was surprised how fast we built the chicken coop I thought it was gonna take longer because of how big it is.

I was surprised at how we recycled most of the stuff we used.

for my science fair mere, Ayesha, Ana and me are doing a chicken tractor, a chicken tractor is a chicken coop but you move it around so the chickens have grass and they can get bugs from the ground and they are fertilizing the grass, once we have built out chicken tractor fully we are going to get some chickens and the once we have had them in one spot for a while we are planning on getting a sunflower seed and planting two one in the place where they weren’t and one where they where and see what one grows higher healthier.

on the holidays I went hunting with my uncle, we went pig hunting with his dogs we where walking around in the bush and  after a bit of walking the dogs ran off we followed them into the bush and they where on a boar and my uncle was about to jump on the pig and stick it up it got off the dogs and ran off we where gonna go back but we thought we could get a different one that was just some bad luck after around 20 minutes if walking around in the wet bush watching the taker following the dogs, after just as we where loosing hope we heard a scream from a pig so we ran to find the dogs and there they where with a pig my uncle jumped on and stabbed it in the neck after he stuck after that another pig came out of no where the dogs got that one then it ran off and we leaft it because we only wanted one so we left it and we walked out of the bush back to the truck with the pig on his back we had to take some breaks though because it was a bit heavy once we got back up to the truck we gutted the pig, when we got back to the house we cut it up gave the dogs some and cut it up and put in the freezer, after that we had to staple up some of the dogs because they got stuck by the pigs tusks, but one of his dogs had been stuck in the neck and my uncle didn’t realize and when we got home his dog had already lost to much blood so we had to put him down, it was sad because that was my uncles first pig hunting dog so when he found out he was so sad but it was better then have him in paint so my uncle went inside to get his gun and shot the dog in the head I didn’t watch though I went inside because if I watched that I would have cried after that we took his dog to a nice place and berried him.

that was also one of my first pig hunting trips I had been on and it was quite the event but I loved it, now i will have to wait a while because his girlfriend just had a baby so he has to stay home and help with his baby.

now I have the pigs head at home hanging up, one of my dads mates makes necklaces and stuff out of pigs tusks and stuff out of bone so we gave it to him so he could make both tusk into a necklace and because my uncle is getting married I am going to give him him one as a weeding present, but when i gave it to the man i gave it to him about a month ago and I still haven’t got them back.
